In 2015 she joined the Game of Thrones cast as Septa Unella, the sixth season of the fifth season. In addition to her role as Septa Unella, she was an ensemble participant in the film adaptation that was made in 2012 of Les Miserables as well as the 2018 British psychological thriller Winter Ridge. Waddingham was nominated for the Golden Globe Award.
